Where soap alone falls short is waterproof mascara, long-wear foundation and sunscreen. Those are designed specifically to resist water, so water-based cleansing cannot fully break them down. The important caveat is that charcoal soap can be drying if the rest of the formula is not built to compensate. Many charcoal bars are charcoal plus a basic soap base, and they leave skin tight. Ours is built on goat milk, shea butter and cocoa butter specifically so the cleanse is thorough without stripping. Whatever charcoal product you use, apply a moisturiser afterwards, do not scrub hard, and use it once daily rather than twice while your skin adjusts.

Yes. Our facial bars and the cleansing balm contain our Kingdom essential oil blend, and the cleansing balm also contains turmeric, saffron and ginger oils. Essential oils are naturally derived but they are still active — if you have a known sensitivity, patch-test before regular use.
No. Our facial bars contain goat milk and honey, so they are vegetarian but not vegan. We would rather tell you plainly than let you find out after ordering.
Yes. We have never tested on animals and never will.
No. The turmeric in our bars is present at a level that colours the soap, not your skin. It rinses away completely and will not tint skin or fabric.
